Our Life

About

This blog is about Josh & Lacie and their 4 kids: Emma, Lily, Benji, and Charlie… AKA “The Monens.”

Hey, I’m Lacie! This is a blog about me and Josh and our lives. We were both born on the 13th of June. I was born on Josh’s first birthday. We decided it would be a good idea to get married on that day as well. Now we have something called a “Birth-versary”.

Although we share the same birthday, we are definitely different. I’m more laid back, don’t mind if there is dishes in the sink, kind of person and Josh, he’s more.. not anal, but he likes things to be in order and scheduled. He likes to have a plan and stick to it.  As much as possible I try not to be bound by any type of plan or schedule. I love our differences though and if it weren’t for him I would probably never accomplish anything, and if it weren’t for me I don’t know if he would have any fun. He is my best friend and I wouldn’t want to share this life with anyone else.

————-

Hi this is Josh. Lacie pretty much summed it up. In fact the first thing I said before I started to type was, “Is there an apostrophe in the Monen’s or is it spelled The Monens?” Lacie gently reminded me that it’s not important and to just read what she wrote. So here we are. Blogging about our life together. Never thought I’d be doing this (in fact we said we would never have a joint email address or joint Facebook because we didn’t want to be cheesy but now we have our own joint blog!) but I’ll admit – I think it’ll be fun.

I think this blog will be a good place for me to loosen up and have some fun with my writing. I also want to use it to stay in touch with people I don’t get to see very often. Well, we’ll see where this thing goes!
